Beside many sea resorts Black Sea also offers two interesting ancient towns and several magnificent river mouths.

Stara Planina is the longest and the most Bulgarian mountain. It also occupies the largest area. There is no other part of Bulgaria that gives shelter to so many monasteries. Also in its central part you can find the highest waterfalls in Bulgaria.

In the west part of Stara Planina Mountain you can find magnificent caves, many monasteries and some incredible rock formations.

Those hills connect Danube Valley and Stara Planina Mountain. Here you can find a lot of caves, canyons, and great cultural heritage.

Rodopa is the most lyric and the most populated Bulgarian mountain. In its west part you can find beautiful lakes, magnificent caves and splendid gorges.

Maybe lower in altitude, East part of Rodopa Mountain is as beautiful and colorful as West Rodopa. There are two wonderful lakes and some interesting rock formations.

Mountains in west Bulgaria also offers some superb gorges, falls, lakes and monasteries.

Rila is the highest mountain in Balkan Peninsula. Here you can find more than 150 glacial lakes, many waterfalls and one of the most important Bulgarian monasteries.

Pirin is the most beautiful and really alpine mountain. Here you can find even more glacial lakes than in Rila Mountain. There are few beautiful waterfalls and well-kept ski resort. Alpine mountain peaks are really impressive.
